MITTEN: MISSING WHEN IT MATTERED
As a State Representative, Gina Mitten missed more than 900 votes and voted “present” over 50 times.
While major issues affecting working families were debated in Jefferson City, Mitten repeatedly failed to show up.
During the COVID pandemic, Mitten missed the vote on legislation allowing expanded mail-in voting protections for Missouri voters.
On another occasion, Mitten missed all 13 floor votes during a legislative week while traveling in Honduras. ²

Gina Mitten Didn’t Show Up for Us
Gina Mitten missed more than 900 votes while serving in the Missouri House. That includes votes on public safety, education, health care, prevailing wage, utility rates, and other issues affecting working families. Missouri deserves a State Senator who shows up, does the job, and fights for our communities every single day.
On August 4, vote for leadership that will be there when it matters most.
Gina Mitten is Pro Data Centers in St. Louis
Should data centers be built in St. Louis? Gina Mitten has indicated she believes there are places where they could be built. Many residents disagree, arguing that data centers could increase energy demand, strain local infrastructure, and change the character of neighborhoods.
This election is about the future of our communities. On August 4, vote for leadership that will put St. Louis families first.
Gina Mitten’s Awful Record as Judge
Gina Mitten had a six-figure job as a Judge whose sole responsibility was deciding awards in workers’ compensation cases, but she didn’t do her job.
She was required to issue decisions within 90 days, but instead, injured workers were left waiting 145, 180, 260, or even 488 days just to hear the outcome of their cases.
Mitten was warned in April 2024 and given 30 days to fix it. SHE DIDN’T!
“On April 12, 2024, you received a Notice of Unacceptable Conduct… There have been discussions, emails and meetings with you regarding your performance issues and failure to meet expectations over the last eight months, to no avail” ¹
The Department of Labor didn’t leave it up for debate.
“The employee is incompetent, inadequate, careless or inefficient in the performance of the duties of his/her position…” ¹
For three years, Gina Mitten failed workers while collecting a taxpayer- funded salary. Even after receiving the formal dismissal letter, Mitten still sued the state in an attempt to regain that salary. She lost.
BAD JUDGMENT
Even as crime and public safety concerns grew in St. Louis, Gina Mitten defended disgraced former Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner.
Mitten claimed Gardner had “behaved as well as any circuit attorney should ever behave” despite mounting failures inside the office, repeated controversies, and growing frustration from victims, police officers, and residents across the city.
At a time when St. Louis needed serious leadership and accountability, Mitten stood by failed leadership and bad judgment.
